Description:
My mom is selling her 1990 Vanagon (camper w/automatic transmission). She is asking $17,000 FIRM. We are located in Georgetown, KY. Inspections welcome.

Another chapter closing...after 27 years of loving service to me and my family, it's time for Pinkerbell to have a new home. I still love driving her, but now she is a car, and needs to have an owner who will take her camping! She has been from the islands of British Columbia to Chicago; made several trips to North Dakota; climbed the Rockies and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

1990 Volkswagon Westfalia Vanagon Camper
(original color burgundy)

Odometer: 265,966
Miles on the rebuilt engine: 39,188

I purchased the Van in 1994. It had previously had one owner. I have all of the receipts for major work done on the van. It has had regular maintenance and upkeep.

2009 - replaced the engine with a rebuilt one - odometer reading was 226,778 at that time
fixed air conditioning; other work needed to bring it up to speed.

2010 - replaced the transmission

2016 - had the van repainted by Apex Collision Services in Shelton, WA. They took it down to the original metal and restored it. Over the past three years, an area that was rusty has reappeared, and rusted out again. Photo detail.

2016 - replaced broken fuel lines

2017 - replaced heater core

2017 - transaxle Assembly; transmission overhaul

2018 - I was rear-ended by a hit and run driver, light body damage to the rear of the van. I took it back to Apex and they fixed the damage. I have the receipts if requested.

2018 - replaced one wheel cylinder, rear brake shoes, and pads

2018 - new battery

2020 - replaced front axle boots; power steering switch, hose; replace front brake pads and rotors; headlight low beam switch

2020 - replaced fuel pressure regulator

2021 - replaced rear hatch struts; fed power steering leak; replaced regulators in front windows; wiper blades

What still needs to be done:

*Air conditioning needs fixing
*Refrigerator needs repair
*The pop top canvas has two small tears
*There is a rusted spot in the driver's side panel, low down

I know of no other issues. It runs very well and I’ve had a wonderful life with it!
