This well-loved Westfalia Eurovan has been the perfect vehicle for weekend getaways and summer trips. Unfortunately we will be moving this summer and can’t take it with us. We’ve had this vehicle for over two years, and have put considerable amount in to keep it in excellent condition. The interior is in incredible condition given its age. The transmission was repaired a few years ago, and has been running smoothly ever since. The timing chain has been inspected and given the stamp of approval from our local mechanic. Given that, there is still always work that can be done on these vehicles, so I’ve included that below.
Notable service done last 5,000 miles:
-replaced back hatch door.
-new O-ring and head cover gasket
-new CV boots on all four wheels
-new power steering hose
-new spark plug
-replaced rear brakes
-new drive shaft
-new oil filter
-new engine and transmission mounts
-additional battery for auxiliary fridge, etc.
-Sidewinder II awning
-OEM interior curtains
-OEM mesh covering for the back hatch
-Heat and A/C output is minimal. We never has this diagnosed properly, though we have been able to do just fine without it so far.
-pop-top canvas wear and tear. There is some replacement sunproof canvas that has repaired the large cut in the canvas (pictured) and there are a few other small tears in the back covered in tape (pictured). There is some moisture discoloration in some areas as well. We were going to replace the canvas, but figured the new owner could choose something that fits them better if they want to replace it. It’s never bothered us much since it’s still fully functional.
-the pictures detail a few other areas of cosmetic wear normal for a car this age.
This van has been priced accordingly with all the above in mind. Please call or email me to arrange a viewing.
