a Go Westy restoration camper with too many upgrades to list here! Below is part of the Go Westy valuation description.
The current owner of this van bought it in 1996 and has registered it in Georgia since. The van has A/C and a manual transmission. In 2010, the owner replaced the speedometer, but the mileage didn’t get reset. According to AutoCheck records, the mileage read 53,671 miles in 1998 and in 1999. By 2007, the mileage had dropped to 53,571 miles. Actual mileage is impossible to determine as at least 12 years’ worth of mileage history is lost. In 2011, the owner had the van repainted, and then sent the van to GoWesty for extensive mechanical restoration work. During the restoration time, the engine and transmission were both replaced. Full details of the restoration can be found under the major repairs section and installed upgrades. Condition The exterior of the van was repainted in 2011 from gray to Gecko Green. The only known defect to the exterior of the van is a small patch of rust on the right quarter panel (see photos below); otherwise, the paint job has held up over the years. The interior is very clean with no wear or tear to the upholstery or carpets. The carpets in the front are protected by rubber floor mats and the cabin area is protected by a Berber carpet mat. All camper equipment is in excellent working condition. The van’s engine was upgraded to a GoWesty 2300cc engine in 2011. At the same time, the manual transaxle was rebuilt with a taller 4th gear. During the restoration, many other important upgrades were performed by GoWesty. See the full list of repairs and upgrades below.
