Vw Vanagon L. 7 seater, 1981, 2 litre air cooled. Manual transmission.
Barn Find.
Its been sun bathing since 1998. Very complete and unmolested survivor. Some nice original Patina paint.
Factory opening quarter light front windows and middle sliding windows.
Comes with clean title, Folder with VW book and 3 brand new spare bumper end caps and the rear bumper rubber strip (just needs new clips from Go westy etc) And original Jack.
One key fits all locks and ignition. The original key looked very old so I had 2 spares cut.
Headliner is good, new front floor matts, front seats have covers as they are old and a little rough.
There is no rust any where on the body and underneath.
There are several dings. One on the rear hatch near the lock, on the front behind where the front bumper end caps go on the sides- next to the front turn signal lenses, the bottom left corner of the sliding door and to the left on the main body.
The front windshield is cracked and the front steering wheel lower column is missing. Apart form that its all complete. These early air cooled vanagon’s are becoming rarer each year especially with no rust!
It will need a good mechanic to check the engine. Looks like it needs some help to get it going again. There is also no key for the gas cap. New gas caps cost about $15+ on ebay.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
I can assist with shipping. I have sent a couple of vehicles over seas myself via Houston Texas to the UK. And I can recommend international shippers as well as internal shippers (tow trucks) with in the USA.
The Vanagon is located in Denver Colorado.
I have 24 photos on my Denver craigslist page. Its advertised for $5250 but i am open to decent offers.
