Description:

This is the perfect candidate for the ultimate "sleeper". The body is solid, no rust, no major collision damage, but fairly beat-up all around. Paint is mostly original. Not much to look at or drive right now, but fixed up the way we have it planned and it will be way cool. We paid only $4250 for it delivered, and even with our 20% mark up the price comes to only $5,000. That is a great price for a great starting point.

Enjoy your new Westy, Kate!

Subject: RE: Da Bus

If I'm giving offerings of the greatest beer ever brewed to the lord of the VW clan, then I must be pretty, damn happy! It's like I never left my old busses ('64 and '67). It sounds like a purring mountain lion, smells like a new car, looks like a Renaissance painting and feels almost as good as nookie. Almost.

Over the past several years, I had toyed with the idea of buying an old bus and restoring it myself. But, after spending the last 11 years rebuilding my old river cabin myself, I'm done with the big projects. It's time to enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Thank you for doing such a great job on this bus. It was worth the wait.

Hopefully see you around Thanksgiving.
