Description:

Here is another super clean, relatively low mileage Eurovan camper. I just took this one on an 800+ mile road trip to Yosemite, San Franscisco, and back beutiful Los Osos here on the central coast of California. What a great machine. Not funky like a Vanagon for sure, but the creature comforts are "to die for". All the ameneties you could ask for and then some, plus more power than you really need, and no clutch pedal AT ALL! I am begining to warm up to these Eurovans! Of course, this one is fully serviced in our own shop, and is ready for the next road trip.

This is Dennis (and Cindy). He's been driving a 1980 air cooled Westy for the last 10 years or so, and has owned many older Westy's as well. He decided to step up to a Eurovan, and drove a couple of hours to pick up this super clean '99. I guess there's hope for romantics after all! I asked him what the deciding factor was, and his response was two letters: "A" and "C". Like I have stated, the AC in these EV's is to die for. Total out the door price with tax and license, plus a 16" tire and wheel package, Bilstein shocks, mud flaps, awning with screen room, rear enclosure ("shower"), roof racks, and hitch was $32,999.72. Happy (cool) trails, Dennis.

Cindy and I are enjoying our new Eurovan immensely. I have had VW Van’s all my life starting with a 1973 Campmobile I bought new. I put 350,000 miles on that van in 10 years and it was a best friend. “Backpack on wheels” I call them. My 1980 VW Westfalia I bought wrecked for pennies, my sons and I rebuilt it completely, taking it down to the pan and painting and restoring every part. We put 150,000 miles on that van (still have it) and enjoyed it completely. These Vanagons are great vehicles and I see myself possibly getting a Syncro as a second car.

This is my first experience in a Eurovan. Lucas sold us a very nice one. Showroom condition, with all the extra’s: awning with tent room, rear shower room, 16 inch wheels with wide Michelin tires, Bilstein gas shocks, luggage bag for rack, canoe rack on the roof, trailer hitch for bike rack. We’ve been out twice camping so far and just love it. The service at GoWesty is beyond reproach. I’ve been dealing with them for years and feel fortunate to know them. Fair and service oriented. Lucas will take good care of you.

The Vanagon Westy seems to have more storage inside and is much higher off the ground for off road travel, however the Eurovan is better on the highway and more fun to drive. They both have their nicety’s, but all and all I am ready for the travel comfort of the Eurovan. My wife likes the Eurovan much better for driving and camping.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Dennis and Cindy B.
