Does your slider make a loud THUNK when it closes? You probably need this slider door stop.

Color may vary.

It is possible (although fiddly) to install this stop without removing the slider door or slider track cover. It is one of those jobs that rewards small hands and patience, but it is possible, trust us.

We recommend removing the front screw holding the slider track cover so the bottom edge can be pulled outward to make a bit more room. The trick is to open the slider door a couple of inches and then fish the stop up in there holding it between the tips of your index and ring fingers and get it set in place in the slot. This will take some trial and error so don't get discouraged. Try and apply enough pressure to get it to stay in place in the slot using a long screw driver to place some pressure on it while you hold it in position can help. Now, open the slider door fully, go around to the front edge, grab the spine sticking through the slot with a pair of pliers and pull it into place you will need to work back and forth along the spine to get it seated along the whole width.
